Security Engineer

About the role

Apple is seeking a world‑class Security Engineer to join a team of threat intelligence analysts and security engineers. The role focuses on turning security research and threat intelligence into practical engineering decisions that protect billions of Apple endpoints while preserving user privacy.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze advanced cyber actors, their capabilities, and techniques.
• Design and implement innovative endpoint protection, malware detection, mitigation, auditing, and fleet‑management solutions.
• Develop new methods to increase security, manageability, and transparency without compromising privacy or usability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (software, hardware, marketing, support) to integrate security technologies across Apple products.
• Promote adoption of security solutions throughout the organization.

Required profile

• Understanding of the threat intelligence cycle and cyber operations.
• Solid knowledge of endpoint and server detection engineering.
• Experience with OS security and using endpoint security telemetry to detect malware.
• Ability to translate research findings into security outcomes.
• Experience analyzing complex threat‑actor campaigns, including infrastructure, malware, and victim endpoints (preferred).
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (preferred).
• Strong communication skills for risk‑assessment discussions with technical and business audiences (preferred).
