Senior SAP Application Developer (ABAP, Fiori, SAFe)

About the role

V-ZUG Business Applications, a division of the ICT organisation in the Digital Transformation & Business Development department, develops and maintains the group's business applications (SAP, Microsoft and others). As a technical leader, you will focus on developing and enhancing SAP applications in line with SAFe priorities, while managing and coordinating internal and external experts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance SAP applications (ABAP, ABAP OO, interfaces, forms, Fiori/UI5, OData services, CDS views, enhancements, upgrades, authorisations)
• Manage and coordinate internal and external experts, ensure adherence to developer guidelines and governance, oversee code reviews and plan resources efficiently
• Implement sustainable changes to the SAP system and provide second- and third-level support for the SAP environment (SAP HANA and R/3)
• Help define the SAP roadmap, including clean core, technology trends and the integration platform based on SAP BTP and Azure Integration Services
• Work with the ICT Enterprise Architecture organisation to build a stable, future-proof system landscape

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or an equivalent qualification
• Extensive SAP and ABAP experience, especially ABAP OO, RAP, CDS views, BAPIs, BADIs and enhancement frameworks
• Clear understanding of SAP architecture (S/4HANA, Fiori, SAP BTP) and integration experience (RFC, IDoc, SOAP, OData, APIs)
• Technical leadership experience: managing complex issues, consulting the business and delegating tasks
• Solid German for professional communication
• Advantageous: experience with SAFe or other agile methods and willingness to try new technologies such as AI-based approaches
