Senior Software Engineer - Commercial Partners (80-100%)

About the role

TWINT is looking for Senior Software Engineers for its Value Stream Commercial Partners, based in Zurich or Bern with the option of working from home. The role takes full technical ownership of new features, from development through testing and operations, and contributes to the integration of merchants into the TWINT ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Own the implementation of new features, from development to testing and operations
• Analyze complex problems and manage incidents with internal teams and partners
• Turn business needs into robust, scalable technical solutions
• Write clean code and take part actively in code reviews
• Contribute to architectural decisions and improve products, platforms and services
• Use tools such as Datadog, Kibana or Grafana to improve system performance and observability
• Support teammates during sprints and help evolve the technology stack

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering or a comparable field
• 10+ years of practical software engineering experience in a business and technically complex environment
• Fluent English; German is a plus

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of Java/Java EE with WildFly and Spring Boot
• Familiarity with SQL, JPA/Hibernate, Gradle and Git
• RESTful APIs and testing with JUnit, Mockito and Testcontainers
• Modern architectural patterns such as hexagonal architecture, and exposure to Kafka, Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
• Understanding of Agile and DevSecOps practices
