Software Engineer - Expenses Team

About the role

BLP, a Swiss SaaS company building an agentic platform that automates finance and operations processes, is hiring a Software Engineer for its Expenses Team in Zurich. The team works on a web app and the BLP company card, where receipts are captured, read by AI (OCR and agents), matched to card transactions and posted to the customer's ERP. The company is expanding into Switzerland from early 2027 and Germany from Q3 2027, adding features such as per diem allowances and kilometer expenses.

Key responsibilities

• Work on the expense web app and the company card, including interfaces to SAP, F&O and proAlpha, and multi-currency, fee and tip booking logic.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to turn requirements into product improvements.
• Design and develop clean, maintainable software using functional patterns, and conduct code reviews.
• Guide technical direction for major initiatives, shape the product's evolution and mentor team members.
• Share knowledge with colleagues and continuously improve processes, tools and team practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a software engineering role.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, Clean Code and Clean Architecture.
• Ability to turn business problems into precise requirements and specifications, then into code.
• Ownership of technical work and the product built, and a team-oriented approach.
