Software Engineer Flight Test

About the role

Join Pilatus Aircraft’s Flight Test Department to develop and maintain web‑based services and custom software that support flight test operations. You will work on both front‑end and back‑end components, integrating them with Azure cloud services and internal tools.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance web services using Django, Django‑Ninja, Pydantic and Vue.js.
• Maintain custom software for automated measurement data and video processing with Apache Airflow, Python, C++, ffmpeg and Parquet.
• Manage code repositories, Python packages and CI/CD pipelines (Git, GitHub, uv, Dockhand).
• Collaborate with the IT department on identity management, Azure cloud integration, storage and development tools.
• Support flight test operations by capturing data and videos and monitoring automatic processing.

Required profile

• Higher education in Information Technology or an Engineering discipline.
• Strong spoken and written English and German skills.
• Motivation to learn on the job and work autonomously.
• Proven initiative and ability to take ideas from concept to execution.
