Team Assistant – Temporary (6‑month contract)

About the role

The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) is seeking a Team Assistant for a six‑month temporary assignment in Geneva. The role supports the Resource Planning and Management Section, reporting to the Head of Finance Unit, and contributes to the implementation of resource‑planning projects and the UNDRR Travel module.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a wide range of office, administrative and finance support functions.
• Assist the Chief of Resources Planning and Management with extra‑budgetary programming projects.
• Support rollout and monitoring of the UNDRR Travel module, ensuring alignment of time‑and‑attendance records.
• Draft routine correspondence and produce complex documents and reports related to disaster risk reduction.
• Monitor unit schedules, verify receipt and accuracy of required documents, approvals and signatures.
• Research, compile and organise information for financial reports, work plans, studies and briefings.
• Generate standard statistical reports and work orders using various databases.
• Maintain UNDRR Sharepoint site by scanning, converting and posting documents.
• Manage calendars, track changes and communicate relevant updates to staff.
