Accountant – Finance Team

About the role

Batgroup is looking for a dedicated Accountant to join its dynamic Finance team. You will manage day‑to‑day accounting tasks, ensure the accuracy of financial records, and support the company’s growth through reliable financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate general ledger entries and ensure proper recording of all transactions.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, processing supplier invoices, employee expenses, and customer billing.
• Perform regular bank, credit‑card, and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing, including accruals, pre‑payments, and journal entries.
• Support preparation and filing of Swiss VAT returns and ensure compliance with local tax regulations and Swiss accounting standards (Code des obligations).
• Help prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and ad‑hoc analyses.
• Identify and implement improvements to automate and streamline accounting processes and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent Swiss qualifications (Brevet Fédéral, CFC).
• 3–5 years of proven accounting experience, preferably in a fast‑paced corporate, startup, or scale‑up environment.
• Fluency in French and English (both written and spoken); German is a strong asset.
• High level of accuracy, integrity, attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to work autonomously while handling confidential information and meeting strict deadlines.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of Swiss accounting principles (Swiss OR).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
• Hands‑on experience with modern ERP systems or accounting software (BI a plus).
