Accountant

About the role

Sportlux Swiss SA is looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to support day‑to‑day finance operations across its international business. You will maintain accurate financial records, process transactions, and help close month‑end and year‑end activities while ensuring compliance with Swiss accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain accounting entries in line with Swiss GAAP and company policies.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, pre‑payments and manage fixed‑asset registers.
• Reconcile general‑ledger, bank and inter‑company accounts.
• Process supplier invoices, execute payment runs and resolve statement discrepancies.
• Issue customer invoices, monitor payments, follow up overdue receivables and reconcile customer accounts.
• Assist in preparing monthly management reports, financial statements and support statutory audits.
• Handle VAT returns and other regulatory filings.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and support cash‑flow reporting.
• Collaborate with Finance, Logistics, Sales and Operations to resolve accounting queries and contribute to process‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in an international wholesale/retail environment.
• Professional accounting qualification or working towards one is an advantage.
• Fluent English; Italian highly preferred, German or French a plus.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle or NetSuite.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
