Accounting & Audit Intern – Geneva HQ

About the role

Under the supervision of the Deputy Head of Finance, the Accounting & Audit Intern will support the Finance & Administration Unit in Geneva with monthly accounting tasks, preparation of audit documentation, and database maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare payment vouchers, ensuring all supporting documentation is complete and coherent, and record them in the accounting system after validation.
• Prepare import files for expense entries such as travel invoices, reimbursements, and monthly salary‑related costs.
• Screen staff, partners, suppliers, or any new entity for compliance before establishing a relationship with IMPACT Initiatives.
• Collect and cross‑check supporting documents for audit samples, maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Maintain up‑to‑date financial databases and assist with external audit preparation.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Fluency in English; French is a plus.
• Proficient knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, especially Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective reporting.
