Accounting Manager – Big 4 Experience

About the role

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead the accounting function across two Swiss production sites and play a key part in the company’s transformation journey. The role combines strategic oversight of financial reporting with hands‑on responsibility for process optimisation, SAP migration and post‑merger integration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all accounting activities (GL, AP, AR, treasury, fixed assets, statutory accounting) for two industrial sites.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and deliver high‑quality financial information to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with Swiss accounting standards, IFRS and tax obligations (VAT, corporate tax).
• Act as main liaison for external auditors, banks and regulatory authorities.
• Supervise and develop a team of two senior accounting professionals.
• Standardise and streamline processes using Lean principles, KPI implementation and automation.
• Support internal control activities and governance in partnership with operational teams.
• Contribute to SAP migration and broader finance transformation projects in a post‑merger environment.
• Champion digitalisation initiatives to modernise the end‑to‑end finance function.

Required profile

• University degree or professional qualification in accounting (Swiss CPA mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of Swiss accounting regulations and IFRS.
• Several years of experience in a Big 4 audit firm with exposure to industrial clients.
• Proven experience supervising or mentoring teams and leading projects.
• Fluent in English; French is a strong asset.
