Aluminium Sourcing Manager

About the role

Crown is looking for an experienced, commercially minded Aluminium Sourcing Manager to partner with its Direct Materials Sourcing Director and lead the sourcing strategy for one of its most critical raw materials. The role is based at the European Headquarters in Zug, Switzerland, and is fully office-based with on-site presence five days per week. It combines strategic sourcing, supplier management, commercial leadership and data-driven decision-making, covering EMEA.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the EMEA aluminium sourcing strategy, ensuring security of supply, cost competitiveness and alignment with Crown's business and Sourcing objectives.
• Build and manage relationships with key suppliers, recyclers and industry partners, including negotiations and pricing agreements.
• Monitor market trends, supplier performance and sourcing risks, and deliver market intelligence, cost forecasts and budget assumptions to Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial and Finance.
• Manage monthly aluminium pricing, market benchmarking, reporting and pricing accuracy.
• Support budgeting and forecasting, cost performance, working capital optimisation and total cost of ownership.
• Lead the regional aluminium scrap and recycling strategy, supporting the circular economy.
• Negotiate supply agreements in line with governance, Legal, EHS and sustainability standards.
• Drive digital transformation, data analytics and process improvement, and manage supplier performance and pricing issues.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Economics, Procurement, Supply Chain or a related field.
• 5 years of significant experience in sourcing, procurement or commodity management in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing a critical raw material or direct commodity with significant operational and financial impact.
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills and a track record with complex supplier relationships.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of sustainability, recycling or circular economy principles (an advantage).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management, with mobility and a strong international and multicultural mindset.
