Architect – Residential Projects in Gstaad

About the role

A recruiter is looking for an experienced architect based in Gstaad, Switzerland, to design and oversee architectural projects in this Alpine resort area. The role covers residential buildings and involves close collaboration with clients, engineers and construction teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop architectural plans, blueprints and drawings for residential buildings.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers and construction teams so that designs meet project requirements and regulations.
• Carry out site visits and surveys to assess feasibility and gather information.
• Prepare and present design proposals, including 3D models and renderings, to clients and stakeholders.
• Oversee construction, manage contractors, review progress and resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning laws and other regulations.
• Keep up with industry trends, materials and technologies.
• Manage project budgets, timelines and resources.
• Mentor junior staff and give them guidance.

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Proven experience as an architect with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods and materials.
• Fluency in English, German or French.
• Authorization to work in Switzerland.

Required skills

• Architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit and SketchUp.
• Excellent design and visualization skills.
• Ability to manage several projects at once and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
