Assembly & Integration Technician

About the role

The Destinus engineering team is looking for an Assembly & Integration Technician to perform final assembly, integration, and packing of solid rocket motors at the Lucerne facility. This hands‑on production role requires strict adherence to procedures and thorough documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and integrate solid rocket motor components following detailed drawings, work instructions and torque specifications.
• Carry out mechanical fitting, sealing, bonding and perform pre‑ and post‑assembly inspections, verifying lot numbers and component identities.
• Complete accurate assembly records, maintain traceability of all parts and pack finished motors according to ADR/SDR transport regulations.
• Handle energetic components (propellant grains, initiators) safely and support incoming inspection of mechanical parts, flagging non‑conformances.

Required profile

• Completed vocational training as a Polymechaniker/in, Produktionsmechaniker/in or equivalent, with several years of precision mechanical assembly experience in a regulated or safety‑critical environment.
• Meticulous documentation habits, disciplined, procedure‑driven and fluent in German or English.

Required skills

• Use of precision hand tools, torque tools, adhesives and sealants.
• Mechanical fitting operations and measurement with precision instruments.
• Reading and interpreting assembly drawings, exploded views and work instructions.
• Experience handling energetic or hazardous materials is a strong advantage.
