Assistant Manager, Audit - Asset Management

About the role

PwC's Audit - Asset Management practice works with leading private equity and asset management firms on complex financial reporting, investment structures and regulatory issues. The international team uses industry expertise and digital audit tools to help fund structures, investment valuations and cross-border engagements. This Assistant Manager role is 100% audit.

Key responsibilities

• Own the planning, execution and completion of financial statement audits for asset managers, private equity firms and investment funds
• Audit complex accounting and valuation areas, including fair value measurements, investment valuations, impairment models and financial instruments
• Coordinate international engagement teams and service delivery centers across locations, ensuring quality and timely delivery
• Build client relationships and support questions on IFRS, US GAAP and other financial reporting requirements
• Apply data analytics and digital audit tools to identify risks and improve audit quality
• Coach junior colleagues through delegation, regular feedback and on-the-job guidance

Required profile

• At least three busy seasons of external audit experience in an international or complex client environment
• Completed or advanced professional audit qualification such as ACA, ACCA, Swiss CPA or US CPA, or equivalent
• Sound knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP, with experience on judgemental accounting areas and financial models
• Experience coordinating audit workstreams across international teams and service delivery centers
• Interest in asset management, private equity, private markets or investment funds; prior sector experience is an advantage
• Excellent English; German and knowledge of Swiss or FINMA requirements are an advantage
