Associate Carrier Sales Representative

About the role

As an Associate Carrier Sales Representative you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and securing carriers to move freight efficiently across North America. You will act as a key liaison between carriers, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely and cost‑effective transportation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with core carriers while negotiating rates and capacity.
• Communicate continuously with carriers and customers to keep all parties informed of route changes, delays, and freight concerns.
• Schedule pickup and delivery appointments, considering factors such as weather, traffic, mileage, and service rules.
• Follow established procedures for handling HVS and HRC loads to protect shipment integrity and brand reputation.
• Maintain accurate data in company operating systems and track billing/invoicing to verify carrier charges.
• Research databases for potential carrier leads and conduct cold‑calling outreach.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of procurement experience.
• 1 year of transportation experience.
• 2 years of sales or customer‑service experience.
• Ability to exercise judgment and work independently within authorized limits.
