Associate Director, Strategic Sourcing - Finished Goods

About the role

Carrier is looking for an Associate Director, Strategic Sourcing for its Finished Goods category, based in Lucerne, Switzerland on a hybrid basis. As the global category leader, you will develop and run a sourcing strategy that supports Carrier's business objectives while optimising cost, availability, quality, innovation and speed-to-market. The role reports into the Global Procurement organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a global sourcing strategy for the Finished Goods category, including OEM systems and finished goods, and align regional procurement teams around global strategy, governance and best practices.
• Drive productivity, cost optimisation, supplier competitiveness and working capital improvements, and lead sourcing events, supplier selection and commercial negotiations.
• Build and manage relationships with key global suppliers, negotiate agreements on cost, quality, delivery, innovation and sustainability, and manage supplier performance.
• Mitigate supply chain risk through proactive planning, dual sourcing and supplier diversification.
• Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Quality and regional business teams to support innovation, new product introductions and growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, category management or supply chain leadership.
• Proven track record of developing global category strategies and managing supplier relationships and complex negotiations.
• Strong stakeholder management in matrix organisations, excellent communication and fluent English.
• Willingness to travel internationally about 15-20%.

Preferred qualifications

• MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
• CPSM, MCIPS or similar procurement certification.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing, HVAC, automotive, medical devices or related sectors.
• Additional European languages.
