Backend Engineer – On-site or Remote

About the role

Jedsy is a leader in advanced drone logistics, building an autonomous delivery platform. We are looking for a Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain the micro‑services that power flight operations, battery management, and real‑time monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using FastAPI (Python) and Spring Boot (Java).
• Design database schemas, write queries and manage migrations with PostgreSQL and Alembic.
• Implement data validation with Pydantic and business logic for drone operations.
• Integrate Keycloak for authentication and role‑based access control.
• Build asynchronous workflows with Celery and Redis.
• Deploy services to Kubernetes (EKS) using Pulumi IaC.
• Create and maintain Dockerfiles, GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines, and monitor service health.
• Write unit and integration tests, conduct code reviews, and produce technical documentation.

Required profile

• Strong fundamentals in backend development with proven project experience.
• Daily use of AI coding assistants and solid prompt‑engineering skills.
• Critical thinking to validate AI‑generated code and solutions.
• Ability to work collaboratively across frontend, embedded systems, and operations teams.
