Backend Engineer – Scalable Microservices

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join a high‑scale, real‑time digital platform serving millions of active users daily. The role focuses on designing and building robust, scalable backend systems within a modern microservices architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain highly scalable backend microservices supporting millions of daily users.
• Design and implement robust system logic for complex, high‑traffic, transactional applications.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure architectural standards, best practices, and high code quality.
• Support production systems by diagnosing and resolving incidents to ensure high availability and stability.
• Contribute to sprint planning, grooming, demos, retrospectives, and mentor junior engineers.
• Work on performance optimization, system reliability, and scalability across distributed environments.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in backend or software engineering.
• Strong experience building scalable backend systems in distributed environments.
• Excellent communication skills in English and ability to work independently in a remote‑friendly setting.
