About the role
Adaptyv is building an automated lab that lets AI agents run biology experiments. As a Backend Software Engineer you will create the systems that make the lab programmable and integrate hardware with software.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement production‑grade backend services using Python and TypeScript.
- Build and maintain data pipelines that process large‑scale protein characterization and other experimental data.
- Develop APIs to connect laboratory instruments, robotics, and scheduling systems.
- Collaborate with scientists and automation engineers to translate molecular biology workflows into reliable software.
Required profile
- Strong experience designing and building production backend systems.
- Hands‑on experience with data pipelines and processing heterogeneous physical‑instrument data.
- Comfortable with API design and systems integration across hardware and software.
- Genuine interest in biology and AI‑driven wet‑lab experimentation.
