Biotechnologist (m/f/d)

About the role

Lonza is seeking a Biotechnologist to independently operate downstream activities in its Visp, Switzerland site, supporting the manufacturing of life‑science products.

Key responsibilities

• Execute downstream tasks according to manufacturing protocols, SOPs and work instructions.
• Ensure safe work practices and compliance with cGMP quality requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the workplace, rooms and storage areas.
• Perform monitoring, maintenance and cleaning activities, report and rectify equipment defects, and document all actions.
• Participate actively in continuous‑improvement processes as an equal team member.

Required profile

• Completed professional apprenticeship or chemical/pharmaceutical‑technical training; GMP or BICO knowledge is a plus.
• Proficient written and spoken German or English.
• Accurate work and documentation practices with high safety and quality awareness.
• Willingness to work a 4‑shift schedule with flexible hours.
