Business Controller – Finance Partner for Space Company

About the role

Join Beyond Gravity’s finance team in Zurich as a Business Controller, acting as the financial sparring partner for a Business Unit operating in the space and aerospace sector. You will translate financial data into actionable insights that support strategic decisions and drive performance.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Business Unit leadership on all financial matters, driving P&L, balance sheet and cash‑flow performance.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators, ensuring transparency and consistency across the unit.
• Prepare and present monthly financial reports to senior management with insights and recommendations.
• Review project performance, assess risks and opportunities, and collaborate with program management.
• Conduct cost‑center reviews, identify cost‑improvement opportunities, and influence cash‑flow dynamics.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term financial planning activities.
• Build financial models and business cases for CAPEX and customer projects.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and follow‑up actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• 5‑7 years of experience in controlling, finance or FP&A, preferably as a Business Controller.
• Proven experience in project‑based businesses and strong analytical capabilities.
• Fluent English (minimum C1); German is a plus.
