Business Development Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Business Development Consultant to help expand our global presence in leadership and personal development consulting. This remote, independent consulting position focuses on identifying new opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving client engagement across corporate, educational, and professional development sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities in leadership and personal development markets.
• Build and nurture long‑term client relationships and partner networks.
• Conduct needs assessments and create customized proposals aligned with client goals.
• Collaborate with internal teams to shape strategic offerings and partnership proposals.
• Prepare and deliver presentations, case studies, and partnership pitches.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging leadership practices.
• Track performance metrics and pipeline activities using CRM and analytics tools.
• Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and digital forums.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Psychology, Education or related field (Master’s a plus).
• 7+ years of experience in business development, partnerships or consulting, preferably within leadership development, coaching or corporate training.
• Proven success in B2C client acquisition, relationship management and closing strategic deals.
• Strong consultative selling, communication and negotiation abilities.
• Deep interest in leadership, human potential and personal growth industries.
• Ability to work independently and strategically in a consulting environment.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM and analytics tools for pipeline and performance tracking.
