CAPEX Project Manager - Facility Management

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is looking for a CAPEX Project Manager for its facility management projects. You will lead complex, cross-functional projects that advance the company's mission of making the world healthier, cleaner and safer. Projects are not greenfield builds but improvements within existing buildings, managed from concept to completion within scope, schedule, budget and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Manage strategic initiatives from concept to completion, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, budget and quality.
• Collaborate with teams across the organization and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Navigate ambiguity, guide teams and deliver results in a matrix environment.

Required profile

• 3-5 years of professional experience in facilities management, maintenance or engineering, including hands-on CAPEX project management.
• Proven experience managing construction or refurbishment projects in existing buildings; minimum 2 years in building engineering.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
• Fluency in English and German is a must.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure team, manage multiple priorities and react quickly to problems.

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of building services engineering, including HVAC, ventilation and refrigeration/cooling systems.
• Knowledge of GMP guidelines for qualification and operation of assets.
• Demonstrated experience delivering projects from planning through execution, commissioning and handover in an operational manufacturing environment.
