Casual Academic Tutor – Integrated First Year Business Courses

About the role

UNSW Business School is seeking enthusiastic sessional academics to join the Integrated First Year (IFY) teaching team for the redesigned Bachelor of Commerce. You will deliver face‑to‑face, hybrid and online tutorials and workshops that are integrated across business disciplines, helping students develop contemporary business knowledge and career‑ready skills.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging tutorials, workshops and online sessions for first‑year business courses.
• Prepare and update teaching materials that reflect an interdisciplinary approach.
• Assess student work, provide constructive feedback and support learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with faculty across multiple business disciplines to ensure cohesive curriculum delivery.
• Complete required administrative tasks related to teaching assignments.

Required profile

• Genuine enthusiasm for supporting student learning journeys.
• Demonstrated experience in coaching, mentoring, teaching or facilitating.
• Ability to thrive in collaborative, interdisciplinary environments.
• Motivation to fulfil administrative responsibilities associated with the role.
• Legal right to work in Australia and an Australian bank account.
