Choir Teacher for Pre‑K and Primary Students

About the role

Collège du Léman seeks an enthusiastic Choir Teacher to lead extracurricular choir sessions for Pre‑K and Primary learners (ages 3‑10). The role focuses on developing vocal technique, rhythm, confidence, and a love of music while supporting the broader performing‑arts programme.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality choir sessions aligned with a structured, age‑appropriate scheme of work.
• Introduce a variety of songs, styles, and simple harmonies suitable for young learners.
• Prepare students for performances and showcases through engaging rehearsals.
• Maintain clear records of lesson planning, student engagement, and progress.
• Communicate regularly with families using the school’s digital tools.
• Organise, coordinate, and supervise choir performances and related events.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the school’s performing‑arts programme.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Voice‑teaching qualification.
• Previous experience teaching across age groups, preferably in early childhood or primary settings.
• Fluency in English (native or equivalent); French knowledge is an asset.
• Commitment to child‑protection guidelines and inclusive, non‑discriminatory practice.

Required skills

• ICT literacy, including proficiency with educational tools and mainstream software.
