CISO / Head of IT Security (Hybrid)

About the role

Ikerian AG is seeking a senior leader to define and execute its information security strategy. The CISO / Head of IT Security will protect digital assets, ensure compliance with medical device regulations, and support a distributed workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a company‑wide information security roadmap.
• Oversee IT infrastructure, guaranteeing scalability, reliability, and security.
• Lead compliance initiatives for ISO 27001, SOC2, HIPAA, and GDPR.
• Manage risk assessments, vulnerability testing, and incident‑response processes.
• Supervise procurement and management of hardware and software for remote teams.
• Promote security awareness through training and policy development.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in a comparable security leadership role.
• University degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field; certifications such as CISSP or CISM are a plus.
• Proven experience in information security and IT leadership, preferably in healthcare or finance.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication abilities.

Required skills

• AWS cloud security architecture.
