CMF Designer - Bikes & Outdoor Equipment

About the role

We are looking for a CMF Designer to define the colour, material and finish language across our bike, helmet, goggles and eyewear collections. You will own the CMF strategy from concept through production, ensuring a premium, cohesive visual identity that resonates emotionally with users.

Key responsibilities

• Lead CMF development from idea to production across multiple product categories.
• Define colour, material and finish direction for helmets, goggles, eyewear and support bikes, components, accessories and skis.
• Translate trend research and brand strategy into executable CMF concepts.
• Partner with graphic designers to create material palettes, colourways, textures and surface treatments for production.
• Build and manage CMF libraries, standards and seasonal narratives.
• Drive prototyping, validation and production approvals with factories and suppliers, including regular factory travel.
• Ensure design intent survives engineering, cost and manufacturing constraints in collaboration with QC and compliance teams.
• Collaborate daily with graphic design, industrial design, engineers, product managers and quality control.

Required profile

• Strong mix of creative instinct and production mindset.
• 3–6+ years of experience in CMF, industrial or product design (luxury or automotive preferred).
• High attention to detail and colour acuity.
• Deep understanding of material behaviour (plastics, foams, coatings, textiles, composites, paint formulations).
• Knowledge of colour systems such as Pantone and COLORO and surface‑finish trade‑offs.
• Proven ability to build coherent CMF strategies, product stories and translate design into manufacturable specifications.
• Experience working with suppliers, validating production samples and managing CMF libraries.
