CNC Mechanic – Prototype Manufacturing

About the role

Join the Audi Revolut F1® Team as a CNC Mechanic focused on prototype production. Based at Audi Motorsport AG in Hinwil, you will work on highly complex milled components for the upcoming Formula 1 program.

Key responsibilities

• Run‑in and supervise 5‑axis milled parts, implementing process‑relevant modifications independently.
• Continuously optimise milling processes together with the internal CAM programming department.
• Operate state‑of‑the‑art 5‑axis machining centres equipped with Heidenhain TNC640 controls.
• Load and prioritise prototypes, individual parts and small‑batch series using the latest robotics technology.
• Take full responsibility for component accuracy and monitor the entire production workflow from material procurement to final quality inspection.
• Ensure optimal machine utilisation within a standard two‑shift operation.

Required profile

• Completed vocational training as a polymechanic (EFZ) or comparable technical qualification.
• Solid practical experience in independent operation of 5‑axis machines.
• Strong quality awareness and a systematic, precise working methodology.
• Fluent German for daily work; English is a plus.

Required skills

• Operation of 5‑axis CNC machines.
• In‑depth knowledge of Heidenhain control systems, especially TNC640.
• Experience with robotics‑assisted loading and part prioritisation.
