Coffee Automation Digital Engineer

About the role

The Coffee Automation Digital Engineer will lead digital technology exploration and transfer to industrialization within Nestlé’s coffee category, ensuring innovative solutions enhance operational efficiency and product development at a global scale.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the technical expert on state‑of‑the‑art digital and automation tools and technologies used in coffee and build organisational capability through a train‑the‑trainer approach.
• Lead the exploration and development of digital capabilities in collaboration with IT, Zones, and technology partners to evolve the Digital & Automation roadmap.
• Oversee deployment and adoption of the Digital & Automation roadmap across Zones and operations, ensuring effective technology transfer and sustainable implementation.
• Drive and technically evaluate proofs of concept, assess improvements and support scale‑up of validated technologies.
• Establish and maintain digital and automation technology standards, ensuring alignment across Zones and promoting best‑practice sharing throughout the coffee manufacturing network.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Electronics, Software, Telecommunications engineering, Automation or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in R&D, Data Analytics, Automation, Industrial IT, or software engineering.
• Proven track record of successful project execution and technology implementation with strong project and change management capabilities.
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
