Commercial Manager

About the role

IXM, a leading global commodity trading firm in non‑ferrous metals, is seeking a Commercial Manager to join its Geneva team. The role bridges trading, finance and risk functions, ensuring accurate P&L reporting, position management and effective hedging across the metals supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor daily/weekly P&L files, perform performance analysis and support profitability reporting.
• Coordinate with Trading, Hedge Desk, Risk Management, Accounting and Finance to ensure data quality and timely contract confirmation.
• Run daily controls, manage Mark‑to‑Market updates, and oversee volume reviews and month‑end inventory reconciliation.
• Maintain and update physical positions, propose allocations, and report open positions for VAR calculations.
• Execute client pricing orders, allocate hedges, monitor FX exposure and support hedging strategy development.
• Contribute to process improvements, reconciliations and documentation of best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Statistics.
• Minimum 10 years experience in a trading company, including at least 1 year in concentrate trading.
• Previous experience as Head of Middle Office or similar senior role.
• Strong commercial and strategic mindset with excellent English communication skills.
