Communications Manager – DACH Region

About the role

The Communications Manager will lead corporate and consumer communications for viagogo across the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). Reporting to the Head of Communications, the role will shape strategy, drive brand storytelling, and support policy communications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute corporate and consumer communications strategies for the DACH market.
• Create and manage editorial and social media calendars highlighting partnership activations.
• Build and maintain relationships with DACH media, handling press outreach, briefings, and story pitching.
• Support policy communications by translating policy issues into accessible content for media and the public.
• Collaborate with the GR team and partnership teams to ensure aligned messaging across sports, music, entertainment, and social impact initiatives.
• Oversee day‑to‑day management of local communications agencies and ensure delivery of press materials.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in communications, media relations or PR, preferably within media, entertainment, music, sports or lifestyle sectors.
• Proven track record of securing coverage in consumer and business press across the DACH region.
• Strong network of contacts within German media and deep understanding of the DACH business and lifestyle media landscape.
• Experience managing agency relationships and leading content strategy projects.
• Ability to craft executive messaging and handle reputational risk.
