Compliance Officer – AML/KYC Remediation (3‑6 months)

About the role

We are seeking a Compliance Officer to join a KYC remediation project for a leading financial services client in Zurich. The role involves reviewing complex client structures and ensuring adherence to AML/KYC regulations over a 3‑6 month engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Perform end‑to‑end KYC reviews and remediation for clients with complex legal and ownership structures.
• Assess trusts, foundations, investment funds, offshore companies, SPVs and other sophisticated entities.
• Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Analyse beneficial ownership, source of wealth and source of funds, identifying documentation gaps.
• Coordinate remediation activities with Front Office and Compliance stakeholders.
• Document review outcomes, risk assessments and recommendations within internal KYC systems.

Required profile

• Experience in AML/KYC, financial crime compliance or client lifecycle management within financial services.
• Hands‑on experience reviewing complex legal entities such as trusts, foundations, investment funds and offshore structures.
• Strong understanding of AML/KYC regulations, CDD, EDD and beneficial ownership requirements.
• Background in 1st Line or 2nd Line of Defence, or both.
• Previous involvement in KYC remediation, periodic reviews, onboarding or regulatory projects is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple case reviews in a fast‑paced environment.
