Compliance Officer – Fractional Contractor (Switzerland)

About the role

TransBridge Advisors, a fintech and advisory firm, seeks a seasoned Compliance Officer to lead the regulatory build‑out for a new Swiss financial intermediary. Working remotely on a contract basis, you will design and implement the AML/CFT framework required for VQF affiliation and act as the AMLA‑qualified Compliance Officer.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full VQF membership application, including dossier preparation, business model description, organisational chart, and submission management.
• Serve as primary contact with VQF, handling clarification rounds, on‑site audits, and remediation of admission conditions.
• Draft and tailor institution‑wide AML/CFT internal directives in line with VQF regulations, AMLA, AMLO‑FINMA, and FATF guidance.
• Produce a comprehensive money‑laundering and terrorism‑financing risk assessment covering client, geographic, product and channel risks.
• Establish KYC, CDD, EDD procedures, beneficial‑ownership identification, PEP and sanctions screening.
• Define transaction‑monitoring approach, escalation paths and reporting to MROS under Art. 9 AMLA.
• Select and configure tooling for client onboarding, screening and ongoing monitoring; oversee testing.
• Design record‑keeping framework to meet 10‑year retention requirements and build compliance training curriculum.
• Set up compliance monitoring plan, annual reporting to the Board and VQF, and prepare for the first VQF audit cycle.

Required profile

• Qualified AMLA‑compliant Geldwäschereifachstelle or equivalent certification.
• Proven experience in Swiss financial regulation, VQF affiliation and FINMA‑aligned compliance setups.
• Strong background in designing AML/CFT frameworks for fintech or financial intermediaries.
• Ability to manage end‑to‑end regulatory applications and interact with supervisory bodies.
