Construction Manager – Zurich

About the role

Mercury, the European leader in construction solutions, is seeking a Construction Manager to lead complex civil, structural and architectural work packages for large‑scale projects, including data centre developments. The role combines site safety, quality assurance, scheduling and cost control responsibilities in a dynamic, onsite environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate civil, structural and architectural work packages and manage day‑to‑day site operations.
• Oversee site safety and quality assurance in partnership with the Safety Advisor and Project Manager.
• Maintain the project schedule together with planners, subcontractors and consulting engineers.
• Control all project costs, including labour, material, plant, equipment, variations and valuations.
• Manage subcontractor activities, track progress against schedule, and hold weekly coordination meetings.
• Prepare and issue daily reports, weekly safety statistics and labour forecasts.
• Lead commercial meetings to capture variations and ensure accurate client billing.
• Close out project documentation such as final accounts, O&M manuals, punch lists, safety and QA files.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience as a CSA Construction Manager or Supervisor.
• Strong working knowledge of the CSA construction process.
• Trade background or a relevant engineering/construction degree.
• German language skills are an advantage.
• Proven track record coordinating large‑scale projects; data‑centre experience is a plus.
