Consultant / Senior Consultant – Global Mobility Services

About the role

KPMG is looking for a Consultant or Senior Consultant to join its Global Mobility Services (GMS) team in Lausanne. You will work on Swiss tax compliance and advisory for expatriates, supporting both internal and client teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review Swiss individual tax returns with international exposure, including tax equalisation calculations and projections.
• Draft and manage correspondence with tax authorities on notices, audits, rulings and appeals.
• Advise clients on Swiss tax residence, cross‑border implications, social security, taxable benefits and tax reconciliation.
• Support negotiations with tax authorities and assist in complex tax situations.
• Communicate with individual taxpayers and coordinate with other KPMG offices.
• Contribute to engagement letters, client proposals and invoicing processes.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Strong interest in taxation; preferably some experience in Swiss individual tax within a Big Four or fiduciary firm.
• Proactive, quick learner with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail, numerical aptitude and strong organisational skills.
• Team‑oriented mindset and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Fluent in French and English; additional language is a plus.
