Coordinator, Remuneration Governance and Integration

About the role

The Universal Postal Union (UPU) is seeking a senior professional to lead the design, development and governance of its remuneration systems. This role will shape policy, coordinate complex projects and ensure the integration of new rate structures across the global postal network.

Key responsibilities

• Design and formulate strategies, policies and governance frameworks for physical services remuneration systems.
• Provide authoritative advice to General Management and other directorates on remuneration matters.
• Initiate, plan, supervise and coordinate projects through subordinate managers and experts.
• Lead the delivery of work assigned by Congress to the Council of Administration in the remuneration domain.
• Analyse sector trends, develop modernization plans and oversee integration of new remuneration systems.
• Represent the UPU at external meetings, conferences and workshops on remuneration topics.
• Ensure secretariat support to relevant UPU bodies, including the Council of Administration Committee on Remuneration Governance.
• Coordinate studies, publish country‑specific rates and manage the phase‑in of the new parcels remuneration system.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in remuneration system design and governance, preferably within the postal or international sector.
• Strong knowledge of postal operations, rate structures and UN/International organization processes.
• Proven leadership and ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated experience in policy development, high‑level negotiations and strategic planning.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
