Corporate Compliance Intern (12 Months)

About the role

Sika, a specialty chemicals company headquartered in Baar, is looking for a motivated, curious and proactive intern to join its Corporate Compliance team for a 12-month contract. As a Corporate Compliance Trainee, you will contribute to projects that promote integrity, ethical business conduct and a strong speak-up culture, gaining practical experience across different areas of a global compliance function.

Key responsibilities

• Support international compliance projects and collaborate with colleagues across functions, countries and cultures.
• Help develop and improve global initiatives, practical tools, guidance materials and audit checklists.
• Contribute to compliance training, awareness initiatives and communication activities for employees worldwide.
• Research and analyse new regulations, emerging compliance topics and business trends, turning findings into briefings or recommendations.
• Prepare presentations and reports for management and coordinate project activities from planning to implementation.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Compliance, Law, Regulatory Affairs, Business Ethics, Governance or a related field.
• Strong integrity, sound judgment and a reliable, responsible working style.
• Curious, analytical and critical thinker, well organised and able to work independently while collaborating with others.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; German and additional languages are an advantage.
• Previous experience through internships, student employment, volunteer work or international exposure is beneficial.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications; interest in digital and AI-enabled tools is a plus.
• Strong communication skills in an international, multicultural environment.
