Corporate Counsel (Manager/Sr. Manager)

About the role

Mirum Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company focused on rare diseases, is looking for a Corporate Counsel (Manager/Sr. Manager) to act as strategic partner to the International Team. The role reports to the Senior Director, EU Legal Counsel and supports all international functions (Commercial, Supply Chain, Quality, Clinical, Medical Affairs, Compliance) in their daily work, covering EU-specific and international legal and compliance requirements. The position is based onsite in the Zug or Basel office, with remote work possible under company policy.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and review EU contracts such as non-disclosure, service, clinical trial and consultancy agreements, and advise on them
• Track expiry and renewal dates, manage risk thresholds and build reporting dashboards
• Help roll out contract lifecycle management platforms (e.g. Salesforce, DocuSign CLM, Agiloft, Sirion)
• Ensure compliance with EU corporate organization requirements and local and international commercial and promotional regulations
• Summarize findings, report progress to the Senior Director, EU Legal Counsel and explain complex legal issues to business units
• Support EU affiliates, partners and staff in public tenders and dealings with regulatory authorities across the EU

Required profile

• Law degree from an accredited EU law school
• At least 5 years of legal experience, in-house or as counsel with a multi-country law firm
• Experience in a commercial-stage pharmaceutical or life sciences company preferred
• Proven track record of building and supporting high-performing teams, with executive-level managerial experience
• English mandatory; German is a big plus, Italian, French and Spanish are considered
