About the role

This full‑time remote position supports learners at Miami‑Jacobs Career College by delivering expert instruction on core healthcare topics. The Healthcare Specialist combines clinical knowledge with instructional design to create an engaging, inclusive online learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver virtual training sessions covering basic medicine concepts, emergency care awareness, and patient‑centered practices.
• Develop, review, and update healthcare‑related instructional materials to reflect current industry standards.
• Collaborate with academic and administrative teams to ensure curriculum consistency and relevance.
• Provide clear explanations of complex healthcare topics to diverse learner audiences.
• Foster a supportive, inclusive online community that promotes equity and diversity.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of clinical concepts, patient‑centered care, and healthcare environments.
• Experience or training as an EMT or in a related emergency/clinical role.
• Background in training, teaching, mentoring, or coaching, preferably within healthcare or allied health education.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage time effectively.
• Relevant certification or licensure (e.g., EMT, medical assistant, nursing) preferred.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a healthcare, science, or education‑related field preferred.
