Cost Manager – Data Centre Construction

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Cost Manager to lead cost and commercial management for major data centre construction projects. You will be responsible for both pre‑ and post‑contract activities, ensuring accurate cost planning and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, feasibility studies, procurement reports and final cost plans.
• Manage tendering and procurement processes, including pre‑qualification, tender analysis and contract documentation.
• Conduct timely cost checks, valuations and produce monthly post‑contract cost reports for the client.
• Interface with clients and consultants at all project stages and support change control and value engineering processes.

Required profile

• Proven cost or commercial management experience, preferably within a consultancy environment.
• Strong organisational and multi‑tasking abilities with excellent communication skills.
• Collaborative approach and ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of data centre facilities or similar asset types.
• Good knowledge of construction methods and procurement processes.
• Experience with multiple estimating tools and applications.
• Strong proficiency with spreadsheets and databases.
