Cybersecurity Operations Engineer

About the role

You will join Swisscom's Cybersecurity Operations Team, a small, highly skilled group that designs, implements and runs security services for business customers. The role covers the full lifecycle from requirement gathering to delivery and ongoing operation, with a strong focus on technical excellence and customer impact.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and continuously improve cybersecurity services such as vulnerability management and on‑demand customer support.
• Conduct security assessments, translate findings into clear actions and implement them pragmatically.
• Analyze and resolve security incidents and vulnerabilities while collaborating closely with customers.
• Automate repetitive workflows using Python and integrate modern tools like Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender.
• Work cross‑functionally, share knowledge within the team and maintain an end‑to‑end view of the security process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security or a related field.
• Proven experience operating cybersecurity services and managing vulnerability programs.
• Strong understanding of incident handling, automation and scripting with Python.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender.
• Customer‑focused, pragmatic, goal‑oriented and comfortable with direct client interaction.
• Team‑oriented, communicative, confident, structured, reliable and curious.
• Fluent in German and English; French is a plus.
