Data Ops Engineer – CI/CD for Data Pipelines

About the role

EFG International is looking for a Data Ops Engineer to join its DataOps platform team in Geneva. You will be responsible for ensuring reliable service levels across the bank’s data platform components, including Databricks, Kafka, Spark, Elastic Search, Apache MQ and the uServices stack.

Key responsibilities

• Take operational ownership of specific data services, covering change management, quality assurance, SLA and SOP compliance.
• Monitor and support critical data pipelines during Asian hours, acting as the primary point of contact in a follow‑the‑sun model.
• Design, implement and optimise batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Apply CI/CD best practices to automate deployments and integrations.
• Create, maintain and improve documentation and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance governance around integration operations.
• Maintain high standards of data quality, reliability and performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a CI/CD engineer specialised in data pipeline implementations.
• Comfortable driving operations for Kafka, Spark and Databricks using Python.
• Strong understanding of change management, quality assurance and SLA monitoring.
• Ability to work Asian business hours and participate in a global support model.
