Deputy Head of Occupational Health & Safety (ISO 45001)

About the role

SSWISS GROUP AG, an international industrial group producing solar modules and components in the renewable energy sector, is looking for a Deputy Head of Occupational Health & Safety in Zug, Switzerland. The role supports the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the company's HSE system under ISO 45001, and acts as deputy for the Head of HSE when required.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the ISO 45001-compliant OH&S management system
• Assist in preparing for ISO 45001 certification and surveillance audits
• Ensure compliance with Swiss labour law, SUVA regulations and internal corporate standards
• Identify hazards, evaluate risks and define control measures
• Set and monitor safety objectives, KPIs and performance indicators
• Carry out internal HSE audits and site inspections
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, and develop corrective and preventive actions
• Organise HSE training and awareness programmes
• Maintain HSE documentation, records and reporting

Required profile

• Higher education in occupational safety, engineering, environmental management or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of HSE experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Practical experience with ISO 45001 implementation or maintenance
• Strong knowledge of Swiss OH&S legislation and SUVA standards
• German and/or English proficiency

Required skills

• Risk assessment methods such as JSA, HIRA and FMEA (an advantage)
• Strong analytical and documentation skills
