Derrickman – Deep Geothermal Drilling Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Derrickman to join our deep geothermal drilling projects in Switzerland. Working closely with the Driller and Assistant Driller, you will help ensure safe, efficient drilling operations that support the development of sustainable energy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Handle and rack tubulars according to operational procedures and safety requirements.
• Assist in running drilling strings in and out of the hole under supervision.
• Operate drilling fluid systems and pumps on a super‑light rig using a Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) system.
• Mix chemicals and additives, monitor drilling fluid volumes and properties, and record related data.
• Report any operational issues and maintain a strong safety culture.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in on‑shore oil & gas or deep geothermal drilling.
• MPD experience preferred.
• Safety‑oriented mindset with strong teamwork skills.
• Mandatory certifications: IWCF Level 2, OPITO H2S, MIST, OGUK Medical Certificate.
• Fluent French or intermediate French and good operational English.
• European citizen or holder of a valid European work authorization.
