DevOps Engineer (80-100%)

About the role

We’re seeking a passionate Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer to join our team. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will own CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and ensure reliable, scalable releases for our AI platform hosted on Swiss-owned hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers to build reliable, scalable development pipelines and automate continuous releases.
• Coach frontend and backend engineers to monitor their code in live environments.
• Lead discussions on scalable architecture, considering financial and security implications.
• Manage, monitor, and strategically scale clusters, hardware, and stateful workloads such as databases, caches, and message queues.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of deployments, processes, and tools.
• Ensure system reliability, availability, and performance, including on‑call duties shared with the team.

Required profile

• At least four years of hands‑on experience operating production systems and being on‑call.
• Fluent in German and English with strong communication and collaborative skills.
• Analytical problem‑solver capable of troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues.

Required skills

• Containers and Kubernetes (GitOps‑style delivery).
• Secret management as code (e.g., SOPS, Vault).
• Stateful workload operation (relational databases, caches, message queues).
• Observability and debugging tooling.
• Scripting and programming in Python, TypeScript or a JVM language.
