DevOps Engineer – Kubernetes Migration (AWS/EKS, Terraform)

About the role

We are seeking a senior DevOps Engineer on a 6‑month contract to lead the migration of our AI scale‑up client’s services from AWS ECS to Kubernetes (EKS). The role is fully remote and offers a competitive daily rate.

Key responsibilities

• Migrate all existing services from AWS ECS to Amazon EKS.
• Work across the platform layer, including deployment, observability, networking, and security.
• Collaborate with a tight‑knit DevOps team of four to define and implement best‑practice processes.
• Maintain and improve infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Set up and optimise CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.

Required profile

• Strong experience working in AWS environments (GCP knowledge is a plus).
• Proven track record of overseeing and executing Kubernetes migrations.
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform and CI/CD tooling.
• Senior or lead‑level background driving best practices across tech teams.

What we offer

• Remote contract position.
• Daily rate of £450‑£550.
• Initial 6‑month contract with potential extension.
