DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) - Microsoft Entra ID / Azure / Terraform

About the role

A recruitment partner for a client in the banking sector is looking for an experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer to expand the Microsoft Azure platform within the Azure Basis team in Zurich. The focus is on optimizing Microsoft Entra ID and its automation, while supporting the integration of new Azure Basis services. The position is 100% workload, hybrid only within Switzerland, starting ASAP and ending on 30 September 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement automation for Microsoft Entra ID and related services using Terraform and APIs with Go
• Configure and optimize App Registrations, Enterprise Applications, Conditional Access Policies and Administrative Units
• Build, maintain and document authentication and authorization flows using OAuth 2.0, SAML and OpenID Connect for SSO
• Create specifications for OAuth 2.0 and SAML flows and create and optimize authentication rules with automated testing and monitoring
• Manage and optimize Azure and Microsoft 365 identity and security services, and support Entra ID hardening and configuration monitoring
• Support the integration of new Azure Basis services, write technical documentation and train internal teams

Required profile

• Several years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and in-depth knowledge of Azure basic services
• Solid practical knowledge of Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and automation, and with GitLab, Go, Python or Bash
• Good understanding of network security, IAM standards and protocols such as OAuth 2.0, SAML and OpenID Connect
• Experience with cloud security technologies and agile methods such as Scrum or SAFe
• University degree in computer science or equivalent; German C2 or native, English B2
• Analytical thinking, structured and independent work style, and a team-oriented, customer-focused attitude
• Experience with Microsoft 365 identity and security is an advantage
