Digital R&D Manager (80-100%)

About the role

WinGD is seeking an experienced Digital R&D Manager to lead internal development projects within the BU Digital Solutions. You will translate product roadmaps into actionable plans and coordinate cross‑functional teams from concept validation through release readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Convert product roadmaps into structured project plans covering scope, timelines, dependencies, resources and deliverables.
• Lead R&D projects from concept, prototyping to integration and deployment readiness.
• Plan and coordinate periodic WiDE software releases, including design freezes, review cycles and release meetings.
• Align stakeholders on priorities, resource allocation and delivery commitments.
• Identify and mitigate technical, integration, resource and schedule risks while ensuring quality standards.
• Provide transparent status reporting and maintain project documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of project management experience in technology, R&D or product development.
• Proven ability to manage multiple cross‑functional development projects.
• Strong organisational, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• High proficiency in written and spoken English; German is a plus.

Required skills

• Practical experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall and hybrid methodologies.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira or OnePlan.
• Knowledge of PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile/Scrum certifications (advantageous).
