Director KOL Management

About the role

We are seeking a Director KOL Management to lead the development and expansion of our international Key Opinion Leader (KOL) network in the ophthalmic field. You will act as the primary liaison between our company and medical experts, ensuring strong relationships and driving product advocacy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and expand an international KOL and reference centre network.
• Engage actively with KOLs, fostering loyalty to our products.
• Identify and develop physicians as speakers for events and podium presence.
• Plan, organise, and manage visits with KOLs at training centres, production sites, and headquarters in Switzerland.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Clinical & Medical Affairs teams.
• Support marketing and sales activities, including contract handling, CRM maintenance, and activity reporting.
• Co‑design and further develop a global KOL management strategy.
• Coordinate and lead regional KOL managers.

Required profile

• University degree (University of Applied Sciences or university) in Marketing or a scientific background with additional marketing training.
• Several years of experience in ophthalmology, optometry, or medical technology.
• In‑depth knowledge of the ophthalmic environment and confident interaction with medical specialists.
• Experience with CRM systems (ideally HubSpot) and MS Office.
• Fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 40–60%).
