Director KOL Management

About the role

We are a global medical technology innovator seeking a Director of KOL Management to lead the creation and expansion of an international Key Opinion Leader network in ophthalmology. Reporting to the CEO, you will work closely with cross‑functional teams to strengthen relationships with top ophthalmic specialists and shape our global KOL strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and grow an international network of Key Opinion Leaders and reference centres.
• Identify and prepare physicians as speakers for international events and congresses.
• Plan and coordinate KOL visits to headquarters, training centres, and production sites.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Medical Affairs to support commercial initiatives.
• Manage KOL contracts, CRM activity, and reporting.
• Drive the development and execution of the global KOL strategy.
• Represent the company at conferences across Europe and Asia.

Required profile

• Proven KOL management experience within ophthalmology.
• Background in ophthalmology, optometry, or ophthalmic medical devices.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship‑building abilities.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Willingness to travel internationally (30‑40%).
• EU or Swiss citizenship (or right to work in Switzerland) and readiness to relocate if needed.

Required skills

• CRM experience, preferably with HubSpot.
